The latest product to come out of Sportec’s workhouse in Switzerland is called the SP750 and it’s based on the 911 GT2 (997). With the SP750, the Porsche 997 GT2’s standard 3.6-liter bi-turbo engine’s output has been improved by about 220 HP The massive increase in power has been achieved through the modified turbochargers and titanium con rods, sports camshafts, a reprogramming of the control unit as well as larger charge-air intercoolers. Sportec claims that the SP750 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) takes a mere 3.2 seconds (standard GT2: 3.7 sec) while the top speed lies somewhere beyond 350 km/h or 218 mph (standard GT2: 329 km/h or 205 mph). -Continued To further improve driving dynamics, Sportec offers a set of 20-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 245/30 ZR20 tires up front and 325/25 ZR20 at the back along with the installation of a reinforced sports clutch. Sportec’s version of the GT2 can also be customised with aluminium pedals, floor mats, instrument dials and leather or alcantara applications.
