At a time when stock markets are tumbling, people are losing their jobs and the auto industry is struggling to make ends meet, there's one company that's as good as gold: Alchemist. You may remember the London-based firm from our previous story on the gold-plated roofs - if you don't, click here. Well, the luxury customization company decided to take gold-plating to another level by developing a one-off, 24-carat gold and platinum-leafed Aston Martin DB7 that will make its first public appearance at the MPH motorshow featuring Top Gear Live at London's Earls Court from 30 October to 2 November. -Continued
Aside from all that gold and platinum, the bling-bling Aston also comes with seven diamonds embedded in the bodywork. Alchemist's creative director and modern day 'Goldfinger', Jacques Blanc, said: "Forget the everyday optional extras offered by car manufacturers, this is the King Midas of customization and the gold standard of luxury."
