Honda's best kept secret for the 2008 Los Angeles Auto Show goes by the name FC Sport and it's a hydrogen-powered, three-seat sports car concept. The design study utilizes Honda's V Flow fuel cell technology which is already deployed in the company's FCX Clarity sedan. In the sporty FC, the fuel cell stack is located between the rear seats while the battery pack placed low in the middle of the vehicle. As for the electric motor, it resides just forward of the rear axle. Although Honda hasn't released any photos of the interior, the automaker claims that the FC Sport features a McLaren F1-style seating layout with a racecar-like center driving position and two passenger seats on either side. "The Honda FC Sport explores how to satisfy automotive performance enthusiasts in a world beyond petroleum," said Dan Bonawitz, vice president of American Honda Motor Co., Inc. "People who love sports cars will still have a reason to love in a hydrogen-powered future," he added.
