Who ever said that drifting is only for men surely hasn’t seen Sumika Kubokawa in action. The 27 year old from Japan is a member of Team Orange, one of the leading drift teams in the D1 Grand Prix Series, and as you can see for yourself in the video after the jump, she certainly knows her way behind the steering wheel.

In her interview with Driftcolors, Sumika says she is an avid fan of the Nissan 180SX, which was sold in North America as the 240SX and in some other countries under the 200SX name. Sumika also said she street drifted for a brief period when she was younger but was caught and hasn’t done it again. In October of 2010 we brought you a Toyota Soarer / Lexus SC that had been transformed into an abomination with a Mercedes-Benz CLK DTM front end and a Nissan 200SX rump. It was bad, but I still liked it better than the snooze-mobile that was the ‘91 Soarer / CS.

Well, from the same website that brought us that automotive mullet comes yet another creation that’s been refashioned into something else. This time its a Nissan Silva. This particular freak of coach building features a Mercedes-Benz rear end (or at very least the taillights) and Nissan 350Z front end. The result is less than impressive.

If you happen to have a mullet and a lifeless Nissan 200SX -or any car for that matter- laying around somewhere and you don't know if you should get rid of it or make something useful out of it, here's a 'nifty' idea; how about chopping it in half and transforming it into a mobile BBQ-trailer with an integrated tailgate grill? What an attention grabber...

This stunning Nissan 200SX track car is the result of three years of blistering hand work by a member of the UK-based enthusiast forum, 'SXOC' who goes by the nickname "CravingImpact". Some people think that the true successor of the 1970s Nissan 240Z /280ZX (Z30) which was also known in Japan as the Fairlady Z wasn’t the early ‘80s 300ZX (Z31), but the smaller and more nimble 180SX / 200SX / 240SX series that came in the late 1980s. A Japanese owner of a 1994 180SX took that belief a little bit too serious by performing a ‘surgical’ 240Z face transplant on his coupe. The funny thing is that, judging from the pictures, the well executed conversion doesn’t look half bad. But that’s our personal opinion so feel free to disagree. -Continued

The modified 180SX that’s equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine is now up for sale on an Australian site with the price set $10,600 AUD including shipping, import duty, GST and the company’s service fee. However, potential buyers should be aware that the Japanese coupe is being offered for race or rally use only as it is not suitable for import to Australia as a road car.

We’ve lost track of the number of times we’ve seen renderings from Japanese publications showing what the Nissan 240SX / Silvia might look like when it debuts sometime in 2010/2011. In its forthcoming October issue, Japanese car magazine ‘Best Car’ takes another shot at the forthcoming 240SX / Silvia replacement that is said to be based on a modified version of the 350Z's FM rear-wheel-drive platform. Additionally, along with the new 240SX / Silvia photoshop, Best Car also shows a rendering of the next-generation Micra (March in Japan) and in particular, the range-topping sport version. Speculation is that the sport Micra will be equipped with a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine powering the front wheels. -One more pic after the jump

This rendering, featuring the next generation 240SX / Silvia, allegedly made its appearance on a video screen along with the first official picture of the 2010 370Z during the Nissan GT 2012 meeting a few weeks ago. We don't want to seem negative, but the profile of this vehicle with the small quarter window at the back looks like it belongs to a four-door sedan and not to a coupe. What do you think?

On the other hand, the scanned images from the Japanese magazine 'Best Car' clearly depict an artist's impression on the next gen 240SX/Silvia that will supposedly be powered a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-pot developing 225 PS. Best Car also speculates that Nissan's affordable rear-wheel-drive coupe will be based on the Japanese carmaker's FM platform measuring approximately 4,350 mm in length and 1,750 mm in width. -More pics after the jump
