Rarely do automakers disclose redundant design proposals for a vehicle that has just been introduced to the public like the all-new 2010 Mazda3 Sedan (click here for our high-res image gallery and here for the video). But it appears that Mazda's people are so confident with the outcome that the Japanese company decided to publish a selection of rejected sketches for its new compact sedan that premiered less than a week ago at the 2008 Los Angeles Auto Show.
If these proposals are indeed the designs that made it to the final round, we reckon that Mazda's execs made the right choice. Click through to see what other designs had been considered for the new Mazda3 Sedan along with photos of clay models and sketches of the actual production model.
