These are Volkswagen's first official pictures of the next-generation Saveiro pickup truck that has been designed and built for the South American market. Featuring a front-end design that borrows styling cues from Volkswagen's latest European creations such as the Tiguan, the new compact-sized pickup truck will compete head-on with the Fiat Strada, Chevrolet Montana and Ford Courier.
The Saveiro will be offered in South America with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder flex-fuel engine capable of running on either gasoline or ethanol blends.
